Author Guidelines
The Journal of Advanced Electrochemical Storage (JAES) welcomes high-quality submissions that contribute to the advancement of electrochemical energy storage. Authors are encouraged to carefully read and follow the guidelines below to ensure a smooth peer review and publication process.
Article Types
JAES accepts the following manuscript types:
• Original Research Articles: Detailed reports of novel scientific investigations.
• Review Articles: Comprehensive overviews of current progress in a specific area.
• Short Communications: Concise reports of preliminary findings or novel techniques.
• Perspectives: Insightful commentary on emerging trends or future directions in the field.
Submission Process
• All submissions must be made through the online manuscript submission system Submit Article.
• Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
• Authors should include a cover letter briefly stating the significance of the work and its fit with JAES.
Manuscript Preparation
• Language: All manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English.
• Format: Submit as a single Word or LaTeX file including figures and tables.
• Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, double-spaced.
• Structure:
- o Title Page (with title, authors, affiliations, and corresponding author’s email)
- o Abstract (150–250 words)
- o Introduction
- o Experimental/Methods
- o Results and Discussion
- o Conclusions
- o References (use PUBJ style)
Figures and Tables
• Must be embedded in the main document and also uploaded as high-resolution separate files.
• Use standard file formats (e.g., TIFF, JPEG, PNG for images; Excel for tables if needed).
• Include clear legends and labels.
References
• Use the PUBJ referencing style .
• Citations should be numbered in the order of appearance and listed at the end of the manuscript.
Example:
1. Smith, J.; Lee, T. J. Power Sources 2023, 525, 230119.
2. Zhao, H.; et al. Energy Storage Mater. 2022, 45, 87–98.
Ethical Considerations
• Authors must ensure the integrity of their research and disclose any conflicts of interest.
• Plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, will result in immediate rejection.
• Human or animal studies must include appropriate ethical approval statements.
Open Access Policy
JAES operates under a Gold Open Access model. All articles are freely available to readers worldwide under a Creative Commons (CC BY) license.
Article Processing Charges (APCs)
To support widespread dissemination, all APCs are waived until 31 December 2025. Authors can publish without any fees during this period.
Post-Acceptance
Upon acceptance, articles will be professionally typeset and published online with a DOI. Authors will receive proofs for approval before final publication.
